Bernice Aden

Vera Bernice Aden 95, mother to Terry, Sandra, and Patti passed away suddenly on November 20, 2024 of natural causes. Patti was with her in her final moments. She was born on February 12, 1929. Bernice was married on October 30, 1949, to Leroy "Whitey" Aden, and was married for 65 years before his passing.

Bernice was known for her enthusiastic support of Nebraska Athletics, the Colorado Rockies, her passion for her Grandchildren, and her charitable endeavors involving quilting, and knitting. She also stayed busy baking right up until her death. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, with a tremendous faith in Jesus. Bernice will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Bernice's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by her son Terry Aden, of Lincoln, NE, her daughter Patti Moskal, (husband Rick) of Windsor, CO, granddaughter Megan Gembarowski, (husband Eric) of Thornton, CO, granddaughter Morgan Gordon, (husband Trevor) of Ft Collins, CO, great grandchildren Aden and Ella Gembarowski of Thornton, CO, and nieces Barb Shoffner, of Rockvale, CO, Bette Albrecht, of Windsor, CO, and Kathy Carmel, of Centennial, CO. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Leroy (Whitey), and daughter Sandra.

Bernice and Whitey lived in Beatrice, Gurley, and Gering, Nebraska. They also spent their retirement years in Bella Vista, AR and Windsor, CO.
