In Loving Memory of Todd Baker
November 30, 1977 – July 13, 2025
Todd Baker, a vibrant soul whose presence lit up every room, passed away far too soon on July 13, 2025. Born on November 30, 1977, Todd lived a life defined by adventure, compassion, and an unwavering love for the people around him.
Todd was, at his core, an adventurer. From his early days in ROTC to volunteering for swift water rescue, he thrived on adrenaline and challenge. He chased experiences most only dream of; jousting on horseback, skydiving, SCUBA diving, firefighting, swimming with sharks, and more. He lived fully, fearlessly, and unapologetically.
A lifelong history enthusiast, Todd had a deep appreciation for the past. He could often be found exploring battlefields and immersing himself in the stories of those who came before. His love for storytelling extended into his passion for horror and the supernatural, leading him to enthusiastically participate in haunted attractions, most notably at Terror in the Corn, where he fully embraced the character of the Plague Doctor.
Todd had a rare gift for connection. He never met a stranger and forged friendships wherever he went. His circle of friends was as eclectic and diverse as the life he led, each one touched by his kindness, his humor, and his unwavering loyalty. He didn’t just make acquaintances; he built lifelong bonds.
In high school, Todd and Daylin shared a teenage romance that, like many, was cut short by distance and long-distance phone bills. Years later, he reconnected with her through MySpace, reigniting a connection that never dimmed again. In 2022, they reunited in person, and soon after, their love story continued in Colorado. They celebrated a handfasting at the Scottish Highland Festival in September 2022, exchanged vows by the Little Thompson River in Estes Park in September 2024, both witnessed by his families of the MacDuff and MacLellan Clans that he was a proud member of, and were officially married on October 24, 2024. Through laughter, challenges, and countless adventures, Todd was a devoted partner, a rock, a safe harbor, and a true hero.
He leaves behind his wife Daylin, a bonus son, Dane (Alexis) Harris, a bonus daughter, Dara (Jay) Coursey and two grandchildren of his heart, William (5) and Daysie (2). He will forever be their Poppa Ddot. Along with countless friends and heart-related family that are far too extensive to list.
Professionally, Todd spent over a decade at Constant Contact, where he not only found a career but also built a second family. His colleagues meant the world to him, and the outpouring of love and support from them in the days following his passing has been a testament to the impact he made there.
Todd’s absence leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him. But his legacy, that is to say, his courage, warmth, loyalty, and unshakable zest for life, lives on in every story, every memory, and every heart he touched.
He is deeply loved. He will be deeply missed.
