Thomas “Tom” Herbert Taylor, 62, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away on December 18, 2025, at Poudre Valley Hospital after a courageous battle with kidney cancer, with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born on January 15, 1963, in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Herbert and Harriet Taylor.

Tom was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished family man. In his early 20s, he faced cancer with remarkable courage and strength, overcoming it against all odds. A man of dedication and perseverance, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Jones International University and devoted many years of hard work to Comcast. He loved fishing, rock hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed playing card games with his daughter, friends, and family. He was known for his ability to make others laugh and feel instantly at ease. Tom touched the lives of all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Valerie Taylor; daughter, Haylee Taylor; parents, Herb and Harriet Taylor; siblings, Tina (Addison) Beach and Tonya Taylor; father and mother in-law, Carl and Shirley Van Order; brother and sister in-laws; Ken (Jodi) Van Order, Marcia (Keith) Hildebrand, and Karen Van Order; and a large extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.

Memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1200 Cornerstone Drive, Windsor, CO 80550, on January 10, 2026, at 1 PM. Reception with refreshments to follow. The service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
