Susan Kay Phelps

Susan Kay Phelps, 83, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026 at home, surrounded by her family.

Born on September 11, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, Susan was the beloved daughter of Charles and Kay Schwieger. Susan grew up in the Denver area and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1961. Susan went to Otero College in La Junta, Colorado.

Susan was known for being a fun and loving person. She enjoyed crafts and making personal birthday cards. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids, Shelby and Riley. She loved holidays and decorating. She enjoyed her friends and playing games such as Mexican Train.

Susan is survived by her daughter Lori Warmbrod and her husband, Eric and her grandchildren Shelby and Riley. Along with her son Chris Phelps and his wife Yvonne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Kay Schwieger, her sister Lynn Meyer and her husband Vern. As well as her beloved dog, Casey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Cancer Society in Susan's memory.

Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
