Sharon Louise Persinger:

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Louise Persinger, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 80.

Sharon was born on September 25, 1945, in Longmont, Colorado, to John H. Nolde and Helen Nolde (Wagner). She grew up with a caring spirit that would shape her life's work and the way she loved those around her.

For 45 years, Sharon dedicated herself to serving others as a nurse in long-term care. She found purpose in caring for those who needed compassion, comfort, and dignity, leaving a lasting impression on countless patients, families, and coworkers throughout her career. Above all else, Sharon was devoted to her family. She was the beloved wife of Ronald L. Persinger, for 61 years, and a loving mother to Kevin Persinger, Kelly Berens, Karen Fuller, and Kerri Johnson. Her family continued to grow with seven cherished grandchildren. She was also blessed with five treasured great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Outside of her profession, Sharon found happiness in the simple things that made life special. She was an enthusiastic Elvis Presley fan and delighted in everything related to the King of Rock and Roll. She also loved cooking and spent years collecting cookbooks and recipes, always eager to try new dishes and share meals with those she loved. Her kitchen was a place where family gathered, stories were shared, and memories were made. Sharon will be remembered for her compassionate heart, quiet strength, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched as a nurse, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother.

Though she will be deeply missed, Sharon's love, kindness, and dedication to others will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
