With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Hult, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on July 23, 2026, at the age of 76. Roy passed away peacefully at his home in the loving company of his family after bravely confronting a battle with cancer.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on July 11, 1950, Roy was the cherished son of LeRoy and Nellie Hult, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Redford, Michigan, where he cultivated a passion for golf as a teenager—a game he continued to enjoy throughout his life.
Roy met the love of his life, Linda, on a serendipitous fall color tour in 1971. Their connection was immediate and profound, leading them to exchange vows on May 26, 1973. They spent their honeymoon in the enchanting beauty of Jamaica, marking the beginning of a marriage that would endure for 53 wonderful years. Roy and Linda were blessed with two devoted sons, Jeffery (Jeff) and Christopher (Chris), who were the light of their father’s life.
Roy’s professional journey began right after high school, when he started working at Burroughs. Throughout the years, he lent his expertise to large commercial retail companies, specializing in revitalizing vacant buildings and outfitting them with interior fixtures. His work ethic and dedication were unparalleled.
In 2006, Roy and Linda moved from Farmington, Michigan, to the picturesque landscapes of Colorado. It was here that Roy nurtured his love for golf, cared meticulously for his yard, and indulged his passion for travel. He was a man of kindness, quick wit, and immense thoughtfulness, always willing to offer help without being asked.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, his sons Jeff, along with his wife Amy, and Chris. He was the cherished grandfather of Eli and Evan Hult. Roy’s memory will also be carried on by his brother Eric Hult, as well as his four brothers-in-law, six sisters-in-law, their families, and his many dear friends at Eagles Peak.
A service celebrating Roy’s life will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, located at 328 Walnut St., Windsor, CO 80550, on August 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Those wishing to honor Roy’s memory may consider a donation to the Bethel Lutheran Church Music Program, a cause dear to his heart.
Roy will be remembered for his loving spirit, his dedication to family, and his unwavering kindness. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
