Roy Edward Armstrong

Roy Edward Armstrong, 74, of Greeley, passed away to be with the Lord on Feb. 6, 2019, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
He was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Greensburg, Penn., to Alvin and Elsie (Oplinger) Armstrong.
Roy graduated from Sewickley High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University. Roy worked at Rocky Flats, Weld County School District and as a custom home designer and builder. He was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Windsor. Roy enjoyed making stained glass, woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
Roy is survived by his wife, Jeanne Armstrong of Greeley; children Jon (Marissa) Armstrong of Littleton, Kimberly (Chris) Heismann of Winterset, Iowa; brothers Stanley and Thomas Armstrong of Arona, Penn.; and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Bill, Jim and Gloria.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 311 6th St., Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Alban’s Outreach.
