Roshaun Kae Hogan

Roshaun Kae Hogan, 42, of Windsor Colorado, passed away April 21st, 2022 after a three year long battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Roshaun, was born on May 1st 1979 to Larry and Nancy McDaniel in Denver Colorado. She attended Broomfield High School and graduated in 1997, she went on the study at University of Northern Colorado.

After graduation from college in 2001 with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. Roshaun began her career in Probation working in the private and public sector. She found her home at the 8th Judicial district in Fort Collins Colorado in 2006. She work with youth and adults, and always was hopeful she made a change for the good in their lives. She was top Performer 9 years in row (2010-2018) and accomplishment she was very proud of. Roshaun became very close with most of her co-workers and many became more like family than friends. She medically retired from her position in the spring of 2021.

In November of 2001, Roshaun met her Nicholas in Greeley Colorado. They were married in August of 2003 at Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary in Welby Colorado. Roshaun and Nicholas went on to have two beautiful children, Bria Jean (2007) and Rylan Gene (2010).

Roshaun started crafting in 2016 after Nicholas underwent open heart surgery for genetic heart defect, she didn't stop until she moved to hospice care in April 2022. She authored a book "Bittersweet Blessings" about her cancer journey in 2020. She was active in the Our Lady of Valley Parish in Windsor, helping with Religious education. She also guided her husband to become Catholic in 2005. Her life happily revolved around her family. She enjoyed her time watching her daughter in Just for Kix dance and fostering Bria's artistic nature. She also loved watching her son play baseball in the summer, and spent many days playing "war" with him in the house with Nerf guns. She loved her relaxing time with the family watching movies, talking, snuggling with the kids and her fury baby Mavis.

She is survived by her parents, Larry and Nancy McDaniel, her brother Jeremy McDaniel, her Husband Nicholas, and her children Bria and Rylan.

Services will be held on Monday the 2nd 2022, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor Colorado, beginning at 10:30am with Rosary Prayer, followed by the funeral service, and a reception in the Parish hall after. In lieu of Flowers, the family has requested for donation to be made in memorial fund to help with unexpected expenses and to benefit her children's future.
