Richard Wayne Smith

Richard W. Smith, 69, of Windsor Colorado, passed away on Saturday August 12, 2023.

Rick was born on September 22, 1953 to Clarence and Mary Smith in Kansas City, Kansas. After Rick

graduated from Washington High School, he went on to work as a millwright for Owen’s Corning

Fiberglass.

On March 20, 1976, Rick married his high school sweetheart, Sharon. Rick and Sharon went on to have

two children, Michael and Stacie.

In April 2020, Rick retired and spent his time with his family. He was very adventurous and loved the

outdoors. Some of his favorite family activities include bike rides, hiking, riding go-karts with his

grandkids, family trips to the mountains, and just spending quality time together. He had a servant’s heart

and he was always helping others.

Rick is survived by his wife, Sharon, his son Michael, his daughter Stacie, and his grandchildren.
