Richard Dale Buller

Richard Dale Buller, also known as The Duke, of Timnath, Colorado passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born in Buhler, Kansas on February 23, 1934. He was a devoted husband to Rose Marie Buller until the day he died. They were married in Angola, Indiana on October 15, 1955. Rose passed away January 11, 2010. He celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary days before he passed.

Duke was raised on a farm in Buehler, Kansas. He shared many stories of getting up early to feed the animals and turning the butter. He was a high school star athlete. He played football, basketball and ran track. He attended a Jr college in Kansas and then attended DU, Denver University.

He owned RB Roofing Supply Company in Littleton, CO. Which allowed him to meet people from all over the country. He had more stories than anyone could ever remember. He loved his family, and he prized sports. He was a great athlete, and was very proud to say, “I was a great sportsman”. He loved horseshoes (he was known for his double ringer), fast pitch softball, track, and basketball, he treasured golf and had 6 hole in ones and was and excellent ping pong player. He loved watching high school, college and professional football and he traveled several times with the Denver Broncos. He also had a great voice. He sang with the National FFA Chorus in 1950. He was a member of Rolling Hills Country Club for over 30 years.

He had countless friends and would start a conversation with anyone. He was generous, funny and loved to needle (tease) people. He was the last surviving sibling of 5 children from Herman and Elizabeth Buller; brother, John Lee; sister, Erma Goering; sister, Leda Kaufman; brother, Lewis. Surviving daughter, Sharita Jo Thompson; daughter, Teresa Buller; daughter, Laura Antonio-Boschert; and husband, David; son, Brett Buller; and wife, Rose; son, Darren Buller; and wife, Brenda. Grandchildren, Dawn Marie Mendenhall, husband Jason, Cooper Thompson and wife, Monica, Ryan Antonio and wife, Christy, Brooke Walter and husband, Shane, Bobby Antonio and wife, Richelle, Bradley Antonio and wife, Gabriela, Sophia Buller, Max Buller, Emily Buller, Conrad Buller. Great grandchildren, Hannah Jo Mendenhall, Shelby Mendenhall, Aspen Mendenhall, Gentry Thompson, Hayden Duke Thompson, Raleigh Antonio, Wilguens Antonio, Ryker Antonio, Bryatt Antonio, Scarlett Walter, Violet Walter and Enzo “little Duke” Antonio.
