Peggy June Adams (1934-2023)

Peggy Adams, 88, of Fort Collins, passed away on March 13 peacefully in Windsor.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday April 15th at First United Methodist Church in Fort
Collins with lead Pastor Brad Lauvrick. A reception will be held immediately following at the church with light
refreshments.

Peggy June Wood was born in Brownwood, Tex. to Innes and Chloie Wood on June 11th, 1934. She went to
school at Brownwood High School. She married the love of her life, Billy “Bill” Nelson Adams on December
28, 1955, in Brownwood, Texas. After they were married, she and Billy had three children together, Suzanna,
Jon, and Patrick. Once their youngest was in high school they packed up the children and moved north to
Colorado. They had a passion for the hospitality industry and the drive to put in the hard work to make it
happen, as a family of five. Together they embarked on a journey to create resort experiences for families,
celebrities, and businesses alike to gather and enjoy in both Estes Park, Colo. and Holtville, Cal. Peggy was a
longtime resident of Holtville, Cal. from 1986 until 2010. After
traveling back and forth from California to
Colorado many times in the years leading up to 2010, she and Billy, ultimately decided to follow
their son
Patrick and his family to Fort Collins where they decided to stay and call Colorado home again. They enjoyed
their retirement together and got to spend more time with their three youngest grandchildren Heather,
Samantha, and Ryan as their other grandchildren were grown and off on their own adventures.
Peggy loved to travel and a few of her favorite places to visit were Hawaii, France and Ireland. She and Billy also spent many evenings watching Jeopardy while enjoying one of their favorite treats – chocolate!

Peggy is preceded in death by her loving husband Billy “Bill” Adams; father Innes Wood and mother Chloie
Wood; brothers Bascum, Gerald, and Herald “Chip” Wood; son Jon Adams; and grandson Brody Allen.

Peggy is survived by daughter Suzanna Adams; son Patrick Adams and wife Lily; grandchildren Melissa
Adams, Jeremie Adams, Sydney Moran and husband Carlos, Heather Jaeger and husband Allyus, Samantha
Winick and husband Sean, and Ryan Adams; and great-grandchildren Mia, Odin, Gaia, Apollo, and Luna.
