Patricia Baughman

January 30, 1928 — May 12, 2022

Patricia Ann Ruse Baughman, of Windsor, Colorado, entered into eternal rest in the arms of Jesus on May 12, 2022, at the age of 94. She lived a long and blessed life.
Patricia was born in Humbolt, Iowa, on January 30, 1928 to Gilbert Preble Ruse and Clara Wendle Ruse. She attended Humbolt Public Schools and graduated in 1946. She graduated from Stephens College, Columbia Missouri in 1948 and attended Iowa State University where she met her husband, David N Baughman. They were married on May 21, 1950 and had two daughters, Cynthia Jane (Cindy), born on December 12, 1952 and Debora Ann (DB), on September 10, 1954.
Patricia enjoyed homemaking and was a wonderful mother to her two daughters. She was a beautiful stitcher; sewing, knitting, counted x-stitching, needlepointing. She was an outdoors person; enjoyed walking, hiking, bicycling tennis, RVing, and was an avid downhill skier. As a nature lover, Patricia's happiest times were spent in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado; many two-week family vacations spent in Estes Park in the summer and winter ski trips to Winter Park Resort. Her love for the mountains and all of God's creations never faded. She gave unselfishly of her music ability as an accomplished pianist, organist and hand bell ringer. Patricia knew her salvation was with Jesus. She was married for 55 years.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, David Baughman (2005); parents, Gilbert & Clara Ruse; and half-brother, Wendal L Kerr. She is survived by her two daughters, both from Winter Park, CO, Cindy Newberry (Robert) and .DB Daugherty (John); five grandchildren: Amie Kerber, Rob (Erin) Newberry, Natalie (Ben) Grafelman, Travis (Candace) Daugherty and Brett Daugherty; and eight great-grandchildren: Blake and Skyler Kerber; Wyatt, Caleb, Colton and Brooklyn Newberry; Holden Daugherty; and Harlow Grafelman and a baby brother arriving very soon.
Patricia was an amazing mom, nana, great-nana, wife and friend. She was loved by many and wilt be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Celebration of Life in memory of Patricia Baughman will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 1:00pm at Good Samaritan Society Water Valley Senior Living Resort, 805 Compassion Drive, Windsor, CO in the chapel with a reception for follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Water Valley Chapel.
