Michele Elizabeth “Torres” Frick, died on May 31, 2026 after eight (8) years of battling

metastatic breast cancer. Michele was born in Sterling, Colorado on April 11, 1964 to Joe

and Sally Torres. She graduated from Caliche High School in 1982 and started a career in

the banking industry where she continued her career in finance until she retired from

Colorado State University where she loved her students and her office was welcoming and

a safe place for all who entered.

Michele married her beloved husband Rod Frick on September 12, 1992 and they were

parents to two fur babies “Barney” and “Bowser”. They loved to travel and Hawaii was

their special place where many memories were made. Michele was an amazing cook and

would make you your favorite dish whenever you came to visit. She loved her nieces and

nephews and spoiled them. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she would have

her Christmas Tree up before Halloween. Michele loved spending time with friends and

family. Everyone knew she loved her yard animals and yard art and she loved spending

time outside in her yard. She was a supportive sister, friend, co-worker and wife.

She is survived by her husband Rod Frick; sisters Melissa Torres and Marcella Vininski;

brothers James Torres, Randall Torres and Chuck Torres; nieces and nephews - Haylee

Torres, William Torres, Blake Torres, Catrina Vininski, Alfonso Torres, Salvador Torres,

Amy Keil and Justin Morse, Maddie Cook and Peyton Cook, Jason Keil and Kelsey Keil

and Matt Frick; sisters-in-law Pat Keil, Nancy Hafner, Deb Frick and brothers-in-law Mick

Vininiski, Roger Frick, Steve Frick and Brad Keil.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Torres and Sally Torres and her brother

William Torres and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Reinold Frick and Lorna Frick.

Michele’s Celebration of Life will be on July 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Ballroom D of the

Lory Student Center at Colorado State University.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Checks may be made payable to

the UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation and sent to PO Box 1624, Fort Collins, CO 80522-
