Mary Lou Johnson, 49, of Windsor was born on July 24th, 1973 in Brighton, Co. She went to be with the Lord on June 20th at 1:20pm, after a short battle with cancer. Growing up, Mary Lou enjoyed being outdoors, reading books, playing the clarinet in the school band and occasionally sneaking out of her grandma's house.
She graduated from Aims Community College with a Medical Assistants degree and an EMT certification. Sometimes she would even involve her girls in her training, especially with practicing IV's at the kitchen table (there were some trials and errors involved).
Because of her deep faith and love for the Lord, she found great joy helping others. She fed the homeless, sponsored food for the hungry and volunteering at church. She loved singing and praising the Lord. Her strong faith in Him served as a light to help guide others to him.
In her spare time Mary loved family camping trips, date nights with Steve (Estevan), interior decorating and dancing, but spending time with her family is what she loved doing most.
She was often called an angel by many, because of her kind spirit, pure love and soul, gentleness and genuine heart. She loved making others feel welcomed and will be deeply missed by everyone who's heart she touched.
She is survived by her husband Stephen, son's Elias and Ezra, daughter Princess (Gavi Barrera), Sasha (Daniel Arambula) and Clarissa (Rodney Wilson), mother Julie Ann (Beto Borrego), father Epifanio Torres, grandchildren Leana, Nehemiah, Jalayah, Alina, Adrian, Elizhah, Avinn and Matthias. Her siblings Joey, Junior, Rosie, Jay and Ricky, and many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was preceded in death by grandparents, granddaughter Ahliyah and nephew Devone.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 30th at 1:00pm at Mark's Cremation and Funeral Services in Windsor, Co.
