Marie Ann Corbiere

July 19, 1934 – March 7, 2026

Marie Ann Corbiere passed away at the age of 91 on March 7, 2026, in Windsor, Colorado.

A first-generation American, Marie was born on July 19,1934, in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph and Stella Dudynski. Her sister, Verna, arrived in 1936. Marie attended New York public schools; graduating from Erasmus High School in 1952.

The following autumn, Marie entered the Niagara University School of Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1956. While attending university, she met a local boy, Thomas Corbiere, and fell in love. They married on January 26, 1957 and began their family in Niagara Falls.

The Corbieres moved to Hilton, New York, in 1966 when Tom joined the Eastman Kodak Company. Marie was an active member of her community, devotions included her local parish, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and a local Boy Scout Troop. A talented craftswoman, she kept her five children warm and well-clothed with her handmade knit slippers, hats, and mittens.

The family’s journey continued in 1973 when Tom was transferred to the Kodak facility in Windsor, Colorado. After settling her family into their new home, Marie returned to school in the late 1970s to earn her Colorado nursing license. She served her community as a registered nurse at Windsor Health Care and Fairacres Manor until her retirement.

In their retirement years, Marie and Tom embraced the open road, traveling across the United States in their RV. Marie’s meticulous nature shone through in her handwritten journals, which became a treasure trove of travel memories, favorite restaurants, and even the best gas prices found along their routes.

Marie’s New York roots were always evident in her passion for sports. She grew up attending Brooklyn Dodgers games with her father and possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball players. Her enthusiasm for the Denver Broncos was legendary within the family—often requiring her grandchildren to cover their ears as she cheered (and shouted) at the television. She and Tom were also proud inaugural season ticket holders for the Colorado Eagles hockey team.

An artistic soul, Marie found joy in knitting, cross-stitching, and painting. She fostered a love of reading in her children through frequent library trips and bike rides to the neighborhood bookmobile. In her quiet moments, she could often be found tending to her flower gardens.

Marie is survived by her five children: Mary Donaldson (Doug) of Fort Collins;

Tom Corbiere (Eileen) of Grants Pass, Oregon; Victoria Hall (Wally) of Eaton; Steven Corbiere (Becky) of Fort Collins; and Christopher Corbiere (Kathleen) of Cheyenne. Her legacy lives on through her 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Verna Rubatzky (Vince) of Lake Mary, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Corbiere; infant son, Marc; her parents, Joseph and Stella Dudynski, and grandson, Charles Timothy Hall.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on March 20, 2026, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon reception in the parish hall immediately following the graveside service.

The family would appreciate donations to the Clearview Library District in Marie’s honor in lieu of flowers.
