Lucille Ellen Winder

Lucille Winder of Windsor passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the Lemay Avenue Health and Rehab Facility in Fort Collins at the age of 91.

Lucille was born on January 21, 1934, in Sterling, CO, to Conrad and Marie Katherine (Kautz) Schilling. She married Lloyd Winder on July 15, 1953. She and Lloyd farmed for many years in the Windsor area. Lucille was a homemaker while working alongside her husband on the farm. She was an avid Dutch Hopper who enjoyed going to dances with Lloyd for more than 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents Conrad and Marie Katherine Schilling, husband Lloyd Winder, and her 15 brothers and sisters.

Lucille is survived by Daughters Rhonda Brown of Englewood, CO; Annette (Wayne Appelhans) of Northglenn, CO; Carol (Gordon Durflinger) of Windsor, CO; Grandchildren William Brown, Ashley Durflinger & Nathan Appelhans; and Great Grandchildren Ada, Ethan, Charlotte & Anastasia, and several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned. The family plans to have a private family gathering next year.
