Laurence “Larry” Joseph Heuer passed away on November 30, 2025. He was married to the love of his life, Rosalie Ann Mauser, for 64½ years and 10 days. Together they raised four sons—Barry, Mitch, Dale, and Vince and were blessed with two grandchildren, Luke and Katie Rose, and great-grandson Emerson. Larry was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and friend. A true entrepreneur at heart, he built a long career as a self-employed businessman. He founded Party Services, a catering company in Denver; acquired, expanded, and later sold Doc’s of Denver, a carpet and upholstery cleaning business; and was a partner in Funland. His ventures were successful not only because of his hard work but because of the joy and integrity he brought to everything he did.
At home, Larry found peace in tending to his yard and took great pride in having one of the best lawns on the block. He loved his fishing trips to Grand Mesa, often riding his Honda 90 into the high lakes. To his family and to many others, Larry was an unwavering role model—honest, kind, and steady. Known affectionately as “Larry Good Guy,” he truly lived up to the name.
He will be remembered for his charisma, sharp wit, and endless storytelling. His perfectionism and innovative spirit showed in the many things he built, fixed, and restored. A true gentleman, Larry set a high standard with his ethics, critical thinking, and integrity. Big L loved the Lord and had a genuine heart for serving others.
After retiring, Larry and Rosalie embraced life on the road in their 5th-wheel RV, work-camping across the country. He especially enjoyed his time at the 1880 Train in South Dakota and cherished the years they spent wintering in Tucson, Arizona. There, they formed many lifelong friendships. Larry had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went.
Larry—Big L—is survived by his wife, Rosalie; sons, Mitch (Terease), Dale (Michelle), and Vince (Kris); and his grandchildren, Luke and Katie; great-grandson, Emerson as well as many extended family grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
