Larry A. Jones

Larry A. Jones, 86, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away on October 24, 2026.

Larry was born on August 2, 1940, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Evan Albert and Alice Bernice Jones. In 1950, his family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, where he would make his home and build a life filled with family, hard work, and the things he loved most. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1958.

On January 6, 1963, Larry married Cheryll Hackleman in Laporte, Colorado. Together, they shared a life and many memories.

Larry was known for his work at Fort Collins Radiator and had a lifelong passion for 1940 Fords. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling, but nothing brought him greater happiness than his grandchildren. He treasured spending time with them and rarely missed an opportunity to attend their school activities and sporting events. Being there to cheer them on and watch them grow was one of his greatest joys.

Larry will be remembered for his love of family, his interests and hobbies, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Cheryll, of Windsor; his daughter, Kelly Ochsner (Tracy), of Windsor; his sons, Todd (Jacque), of Fort Collins, and Greg (Rebecca), of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Morgan Jones, Kyle Ochsner, Dylan Ochsner, Brady Jones, and Rachel Jones. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Jones.

Brothers, William (Sue) Jones, Richard (Sharon) Jones and sister, Patricia Moon (Dan Vredenburg) sister-in-law, Jane Jones. Preceded in death by sister, Mae Wise and brother, Jack Jones. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
