Kevin Wunderlich

Gerald Kevin Wunderlich, 63, of Severance, Colorado, passed away on October 1, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1960, in Moscow, Idaho, to Gerald and Gloria Wunderlich. Gerald, known as Kevin, was a kind, funny, and creative man who had a deep love for his family and the outdoors. He was well known for his devoted faith, artistic talents and his caring and loving nature.

Kevin was a graduate of Shelby High School in 1978 and went on to earn dual degrees in Zoology and Biomedical Sciences at Montana State University. After completing his education, he embarked on a successful career in pharmaceutical sales.

While working at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls, Montana, a nurse named Patty Barr caught Kevin's attention. A short, yet passionate 11 weeks later, the two eloped in Couer d'Alene, Idaho.

Kevin enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and hiking. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and express his creativity. After retirement, Patty and Kevin enjoyed traveling the country in their RV with their dog Charlie, and spending time with their eight grandchildren, Dillon, Kaelynn, Henley, Ava, Duke, Ryder, Zoey, and Calum.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Patty, and their children Elise Wunderlich, Sam (Danny) Oster, and Gerad (Annalisse) Wunderlich. He also leaves behind his siblings Carla (Louie) Persling, Cayme (Chuck) Jodry, Kim (Paula) Wunderlich, and Daren (Victoria) Wunderlich, as well as Patty's family, Michael (Joyce) Barr, Cheri (John) Keena, Beth (Stephen) Wooten, and Dave (Jannie) Barr. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wunderlich, his mother, Gloria Wunderlich, and his brother, Craig Graham. 

A funeral mass will be held to celebrate Kevin's life at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor, Colorado on Friday, October 6, at 10:30 am. 

Kevin Wunderlich will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
