Kerri Belinda Evans Palombo, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and twin sister, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Loveland, with her family by her side after a courageous year-long battle with cancer.
Kerri was born on April 19, 1966, in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, and spent most of her childhood in Boulder and Niwot, Colorado. She graduated from Niwot High School and went on to build a successful career in accounting.
Kerri had a deep love for the outdoors, a radiant sense of humor, and a fierce strength. She was known for putting others before herself and for a spirit that could light up any room. To those who knew her, she was warm, witty, loyal, organized, and full of life. To her twin sister, she was not only all of these things, but also a lifelong best friend, trusted confidante, steady source of support, and a true mirror soul — two hearts that beat in rhythm.
Those left to cherish the memory of Kerri are her three beloved sons, Dominic Palombo, Dante Palombo, and Roman Palombo — each a reflection of her kindness, resilience, and light; her precious grandson, Theodore Vaughn Hazen; and her two bonus grandchildren, Lily Hazen and Dawson Hazen, who each brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her special friend, Russell Knapp, whose unwavering companionship and loving presence brought her comfort and peace. She is lovingly remembered by her parents, John Evans and Rita Evans; her twin sister, Sherri Evans Abshire; her brother-in-law, Glen Abshire; her cherished niece, Jessica Marie Abshire Dluhos; and her grandniece and grandnephew, Emerson Kate Dluhos and Beckett Charles Dluhos.
Though her time on earth feels far too short, her spirit remains woven into every sunrise, every shared laugh, and every treasured memory. To those who knew her, she was a rare and beautiful soul — a gentle presence, a quiet strength, and a laughter that lingers still. Her love and generous heart will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of life is planned for the spring of 2026, when family and friends will gather to honor her spirit, her joyful laughter, and the love she gave so generously.
