Kent Alan Van Arsdol

Was born on October 25, 1957 in Cheyenne Wyoming to Virgil and Nevah (Tupper) Van Arsdol. Kent lived in the Kersey area through his early 20’s and graduated from Platte Valley Jr/Sr High School. He met his first wife Barbara Hora in high school and they married in the spring of 1976, through that marriage he was blessed with his first daughter Stacie Lynn. He and Barb divorced in early 1981. Kent then reconnected with Susan Sappington and they married in July of 1981. Kent was an electrician for most of his life, working hard at obtaining his master electricians license. The couple had two children together, Chasity Kay was born in February 1985 and Caleb followed several years later in August 1991.

In earlier years Kent, Susan and the kids enjoyed many fishing trips together, it was their favorite summer activity. Kent’s job moved the family many times, they lived in Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado and Oklahoma. His job also required him to travel a lot and he had seen most of the lower 48 over the course of his career. In 2012 Kent and Susan fell in love with a property in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and bought it in December of that year. When Kent wasn’t working he loved being on their property, whether it was sitting under the tree or working on the property, their place was his dream come true. Sadly we lost Kent as well as his good friend Carol Woods on May 5th 2024.

Kent was proceeded in death by his parents Virgil and Nevah, his father in law Bob Sappington, his great niece Elexa Van Arsdol and his nephew Jim Stringer.
