Kenneth “Kenny” Deen Nixon, born January 3, 1957, in Craig, Colorado, passed away on September 27, 2025, in Windsor, Colorado, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He spent his final moments surrounded by the people he loved most, including his life partner of 12 years, Lisa Miracle.

Kenny was the son of the late Keith Nixon and Winona Nixon-Welling. From the start he lived life with a grin that could light up a room and a laugh you could hear long before you spotted him.

After high school, he spent 10 years working for the Chicago Northwestern railroad before turning his natural charisma into a career as an auctioneer, running his own business- K&N Auctions. He spent many years traveling to the Midwest searching for treasures with his wife, Patty, and hosting auctions that people came far and wide to attend. In more recent years, he served as a water ditch foreman for the Whitney Ditch in Windsor, CO, a job he took pride in and performed with the same dedication he gave to everything.

Kenny was a proud dad to two sons: Kaleb Nixon, with Rhonda Piper, and Kane Nixon, with Emily Shimek. He was married to Patty from 1991 to 2003, and though they had no children together, they shared many important years of his journey. His granddaughters, Kylee and Kinley, brought him special joy.

He is preceded in death by his father, Keith Nixon; brother, Amos Bearshield. Kenny is survived by his mother, Winona Nixon-Welling; sons, Kaleb and Kane; granddaughters, Kylee and Kinley; brothers, Dennis Nixon (Angie), Roland Nixon (Cindy), Allen Nixon (Brenda); sister, Dana Streeks (Brad); partner, Lisa Miracle, who stood by his side through every high, low, and laugh; and all of his extended family including several nieces and nephews who knew that whenever Uncle Kenny was around everyone was having a good time.

Kenny’s smile, his signature laugh, and the way he make everyone feel welcome will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
