Justin Cole

June 6, 1978 — July 18, 2022

Windsor

Justin Murray Cole, married to Frances (Palfy) Cole for sixteen years, passed into eternity on July 18, 2022 at the age of 44.  Justin and Frances were married in Wichita, KS on April 29, 2006 and have four children: Brayden Joseph (16), Dominic Murray (13), Evan Alexander (11), and Tessa Grace (9).  The Cole family moved to Windsor, Colorado in 2018 and love living in Northern Colorado.  Justin’s greatest joy in life was his children.  He loved being an active father and was a stay-at-home dad for seven years beginning in 2014.

Justin was born in Wichita, KS on June 6, 1978 to Steven (deceased) and Lorella Cole.  Justin was the oldest of four sons and leaves behind brothers Stephen, James, and Michael.  Justin graduated from Newman University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.  Justin and Frances moved to Denver, CO in 2006 and Justin worked as a case manager for Arapahoe House and the Mental Health Center of Denver before beginning his stay-at-home dad career.  Justin rejoined the paid workforce in June of 2021 as a discharge planner for Columbine Health Systems in Loveland where he greatly enjoyed working with the North Shore Rehabilitation Center team.

Justin played soccer from the age of five to the age of twenty-five when injuries forced him to leave the beloved sport behind. As a soccer player, Justin played defense and dominated in the sweeper position up through the semi-pro level with the Sioux Falls Spitfire.  Justin later took up competitive running completing many 5Ks, six half-marathons and five full marathons with his final race being the Boston Marathon this past April.  Justin loved to be active and being outdoors was his favorite therapy.  Justin faced many challenges throughout his life but was a fighter who never gave up on being the best person he could.  During nighttime prayers, Justin routinely asked for help to “do better tomorrow than he did today”.

Justin is survived by his wife, children, mother, brothers, grandmother Mary Cole, aunt Georgann Cole, cousins Jenny McCullough, and Eric Stump, aunt Neva Eurton, mother-in-law Georgia Lujan (husband Phil Lujan), father-in-law Tim Palfy, sisters-in-law Joslynn Ortiz (husband Jesus Ortiz), Rachel Palfy, Gabriella Davis (husband Trevor Davis), Kristina Novak, brother-in-law Tim Palfy Jr., and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Justin was preceded in death by his father, his step-father David Bridges, his daughter Caitlyn Cole, and several extended family members.  Justin will be greatly missed for his smile, energy, love, and passion for life.
