In Loving Memory of Joseph Lee Fuentez
Joseph Lee Fuentez, 52, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2025. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Joe was born on November 12, 1972, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, to Oscar and Bonnie Fuentez. After graduating from Sharon Springs High School in 1992, Joe pursued a degree in social work at Fort Hays State University. His dedication to serving others led him to earn a certificate from Kansas City Kansas Community College, where he became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
Joe’s life was forever changed when he met Amanda in 1997. Their love story blossomed in Cheyenne Wells, where they first crossed paths at work. Joe’s charming nature won Amanda’s heart, and the two married in 1999. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising their two beloved children, Jacob (21) and Abigail (20).
Joe was predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Bonnie Fuentez, and his sister, Christina, Joe is survived by his sister, Regina Gronewoller, and many other family members and friends who will forever remember him.
Joe’s commitment to his family, his work, and his community was unmatched. He gave everything to those he loved and served, and his legacy of generosity and meaningful work will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at Marks Funeral Home, Windsor, Colorado, on April 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
In replacement of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help the Fuentez family during this time.
Joe will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he touched.
