Jane Hanfland Hoover, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, from cancer. Born in 1942, she lived in Illinois and Ohio before moving to Fort Collins with her family in 1981. Jane worked as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist. She loved art, nature, traveling abroad, and volunteering locally. She is survived and missed by her children Susan (Kurt Griffin), Matthew (Robin Lloyd), and Karen (Bart Hammerly) Hoover, her siblings Julie Midkiff (Ken), Tom Hanfland (Barbara), and Phil Hanfland (Linda), her nieces and nephews, and her many friends who also love birds, books, bridge, drumming, learning, and being part of a community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Hanfland. Jane's family suggests that donations in her name could be made to the Poudre River Public Library District or your local public library.
