James M Sherlock

December 31, 1969 — June 18, 2021

James Sherlock died with peace and joy, leaving for home with his head held high, holding the hand of Jesus as he walked into the light of Heaven.

His family celebrated his life as he died. In tears and songs, prayers, laughter remembering out loud times spent with him, and with quiet moments those last hours.
Many people prayed for this final grace for Jim. Peace be to each of these prayer warriors.

Jim’s life was graced to answer his call to love, serve and protect.

He retired a Master Sgt. from the US Air Force, 153rd Ariel Port, Wyoming Air National Guard. Jim was a Vietnam Veteran (Big Red One) and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Achievement in the Republic of Vietnam during the period of November 5, 1966, to November 21, 1966.

Jim retired a Colorado State Patrol Trooper Technician, MCSAP with 28 years service.

Jim was a Sir Knight of the 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor. He was Colorado State Knight of the Year in 2005.

He is survived by his wife, children by birth and marriage, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His love, service, protection, and prayers were for each of them.
