Herman Miller

Herman Richard Miller, 87, of Windsor passed away after a long illness on Thursday, September 22, 2022 in his home.

 

He was born on August 15, 1935 to Andrew & Anna (Stricker) Miller in Ft. Collins, Colorado.  He attended school in Timnath and left  at an early age to work on the farm.  In 1992, he received his High School Equivalency Certificate (GED).   He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life.  He served his country by joining the United States Army from 1958-1964.

 

On February 26, 1967, he married Carolyn Ann Bender in Wiggins, Colorado.  They raised their three daughters  in Windsor, Colorado.  He loved to fish and camp in the Rocky Mountains.

 

 He is survived by his wife, Carolyn A. Miller, his daughters, Carmela (Randy) Beauvais, Kimberly (Tom) Reynolds of Windsor, Colorado and  Marla (Kevin) Marx of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  He loved his six grandchildren: Gerrad, Ethan and Nicole Reynolds; Ben and Caty Beauvais; and Kayla Marx. He also is survived by another son, Clint Miller.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother (Anna), father (Andrew), his four sisters, Helen, Rosie,  Lillian, and Marian, and his five brothers,  Herman, Edward, Elmer, Rhinie and Reuben.

 

The Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Windsor in a quiet ceremony honoring his wishes with a military honor salute and spreading of his ashes in his favorite fishing spot.
