Harvey, the oldest of his siblings, was born and raised in Greeley, attended Greeley schools, and graduated from Greeley High School. He attended Metro State in Denver. After a long career in retail management in Seattle, Wash., where he met and married Leilani Lagazo in 1981, he returned to Colorado in 1993.
Harvey's love of woodworking turned into a remodel-contracting career and later worked in computer technology. Harvey also enjoyed gardening, motorcycles, and building computers, but he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
While mourning his unexpected departure, Harvey's family is rejoicing that he is now with his Lord and Savior and is grateful that he went peacefully in his sleep. We will miss him, but look forward to the day when we will be reunited.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Leilani; sons, Gerard and Shane; daughter, Christie; grandchildren, Aniylah, Domingo, Vincent and Anthony; parents, Harvey Sr. and Gladys Buxman; brothers, Darwin (Christine), Keith, John and Tim; sister, Sharon Ianitello (Ron); and seven nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
