Ervin Denver Wood

Ervin Denver Wood, 17, of Severance, CO, a loving son, brother, friend to all, passed at home on November 29th, 2025.

He was born on July 18th, 2008, in Greeley, CO, to Denver and Sarah (Peden) Wood.

Ervin was a kind, loving, and compassionate soul. Ervin had a huge heart and always put others before him. His mission was to spread happiness and make sure no one felt insignificant. From a young age Ervin enjoyed sports, basketball and football. As the years passed Ervin developed a deep love of music that he shared with his father and sister. Ervin had a passion for reading and learning. He excelled tremendously in academics and was head of his class. Ervin had plans of becoming an environmental engineer, he wanted to make the world a better place. Ervin worked tirelessly in life, extremely dedicated and committed to his passions. Ervin was happiest when committing selfless acts for others.

He will be greatly missed by his parents Denver and Sarah, his sister Ella Wood, his brothers Emmitt and Easton Wood, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friend, Ethan Thomas, who was like a brother to him.

Ervin was preceded in death by his Papa Kevin, several great grandparents and a cousin.

A service to honor Ervin will be held on December 14th, 2025 at Dayspring Christian Church at 2 o’clock in the afternoon. Followed immediately by a reception.
