Dorothy Geraldine Chambers

June 15, 1953 — July 9, 2020

Dorothy G. Chambers, 67, of Windsor, CO passed on July 9, 2020 at her home. She is now resting in the arms of her Lord. She was born to June 15, 1953, to Donald and Martha (Rogakis) Gooding.

She Graduated from Westminster High School in 1971. After high school she went to Metro State College in Denver.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas R. Chambers of Windsor, Daughter Kimberly G. Chambers of Fort Collins, CO, Daughter Kathleen A. Chambers of Windsor, CO, Granddaughter Mikella Sterling of Louisville, CO, Granddaughter Gracie Sterling of Fort Collins CO, sisters Darlene Harper of Commerce City CO, and Diane Brown of Warren, OH, brother Donald Gooding of Westminster, CO, Aunt Teresa Rogakis of Greeley, CO and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brennen K. Flutterbug Chambers-Dinbar, sister Debra Gooding Cox, and brother- in- law Donald Chambers.

Dorothy was a home daycare provider, seamstress and a photographer. Dorothy was also the owner of The Craftlady in Windsor in the 90’s. In the 80’s she was decorating the cakes at Dairy Queen in Windsor and then for many summers she would go to work at Weebles as a cook at the Meadow Mountain Ranch, Girl Scout Camp in Allenspark, CO. Dorothy retired as a Sous Chef from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

Dorothy grew up in metro Denver and other cities in Weld County before settling in Windsor in 1981. She is a member of Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church and a member of the Angel Knights.

She taught CCD religious education and vacation bible school at the church.

She was the area Captain and Member for Tops, Inc, AARP Tax Aide appointment coordinator, Girl Scouts of Colorado leader for 10 years, Troop 329, MMR Camp Cook for many summers, MOPS parent Group, Photography Groups. In her spare time her time was spent with her family, grandchildren and her church family. She will be missed by all.

A public Rosary will be held 6:30p.m. Tuesday July 21, 2020 at Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church, Windsor.

Due to COVID-19 A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 22, 2020 with Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
