Donald Richard Hilger
Monday, May 17, 1948 – Wednesday, October 21, 2020

Donald R. Hilger passed away on Wednesday, October 21st 2020. He was born May 17, 1948 in Bloomington Illinois to Donald R. Hilger, Sr.
Don married Ann Hilger; the love of his life on September 17, 1971 in Normal Illinois at Our Savior Lutheran Church. They remained happily married until his death.
He graduated from Bloomington high and furthered his education with some college before settling into the automotive industry. Don spent several years in Arizona with his family before moving to Colorado, where he spent the remainder of his life. Don was a member of the Greeley Independence Stampede for many years, an auto estimator, as well as a body shop manager.
Don loved to fish, hunt and camp. Most importantly he loved to spend time with his family. He was a man with many layers; one that would do anything for his family and friends. Over the years Don touched the lives of many and developed many lasting friendships, and those that met him, always knew how special he was.
Don is survived by his wife Ann Hilger, Daughters Stacey Baum and Andrea Hilger, his son-in-laws Eric Baum and Matthew Thompson, his grandchildren Dalton Baum, Dylan Baum and Brooklyn Fraga, and Siblings Danny Hilger and Kathy Gore.
Don was taken from all of us too soon and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of life services will be held at Northern Colorado Cowboy Church; 33131 US-85, Lucern, CO. 80646. Friday, October 30th 2020 at 2:00pm.
