Beth Marie Pfeffer (Unrein)

Beth Marie (Unrein) Pfeffer, 45, of Brighton, formerly of Windsor, passed away December 3, 2019, in Denver.
Beth was born June 24, 1974, to Melvin and Catherine (Lockwood) Unrein in Greeley.
She graduated from Windsor High School. She went on to earn her Paralegal Certification from the Community College of Denver; her Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Political Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver; and her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Regis University. She also earned her certifications in Executive Leadership and Project Management.
On May 9, 2014, she married Michael Pfeffer in Brighton.
At age 11 she volunteered with physical therapy sessions for a local girl as a “Care-A-Lot” Kid, sponsored by Women’s Day magazine. She then volunteered at the newly opened Chimney Park Pool in Windsor as a swim instructor for kids who needed extra assistance with their swimming. Soon after she became a paid swimming teacher and lifeguard. This experience led to her first college job, again as a lifeguard and swim instructor, at Celebrity Sports Center. Beth then started to focus on the legal field and worked as a secretary and file clerk at Hutchiro. From there she shifted gears and worked at various insurance companies such as Guaranty National Insurance, Jewell Insurance Associates, and Resources Trust Company. From there she spent four years at Bonfils Blood Center. After Bonfils she began a career at Great-West Healthcare. In July 2008 when Cigna Healthcare purchased Great-West, Beth continued on with Cigna, fulfilling roles as an administrative assistant, a health data specialist, and worked as a business project advisor until her death.
Beth is survived by her father, Melvin Unrein of Windsor; husband Michael Pfeffer of Brighton; and sister Sharon (Shawn) Leloup).
She is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Unrein.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, , 2019, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1200 Cornerstone Dr., Windsor.
