Nobuko Kasai was born on March 1, 1925, in Tokyo, Japan. She lived in Japan until 1957 when she moved to Spokane, Washington. Nobuko married Leonard Kasai in 1983, until his passing in 2014. Nobuko was a business woman; she ran a hotel. She also worked for the Spokane Transit Authority. Nobuko had 2 daughters, a son-in-law, and a grandson. She had a passion for cooking, watching Japanese Samurai videos, listening to Japanese music, and hunting for wild mushrooms in the mountains. Nobuko was full of life, vibrant, and feisty. A private family memorial will be held in Spokane, Washington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Spokane Buddhist Temple.
