Obituary

Harriet Kuhlman, 89, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019.

She was born to Howard and Edith (Kreglow) Peneton on June 13, 1930 in Champaign County, Ohio.

Harriet graduated Salutatorian from McComb High School in 1948. She took pride in playing the piano for services at the McComb Methodist Church, alongside her sister Margaret on the organ. She also played with a local dance band and for a breakfast club on the radio.

She married the love of her life, Thomas Austin Kuhlman of Van Buren Ohio, on January 15, 1949. The couple had 3 children. As well as being wife and mother Harriet worked various jobs while residing in Ohio as a messenger for Marathon Oil Company, and a hospital clerk.

The family moved to Littleton, Colorado in the winter of 1958, where Tom took a job with Marathon Oil Company at their research center. Harriet continued her professional career primarily at the Littleton Clinic accepting positions of increasing responsibility over the next 25 years.

Throughout her life she played the piano; was an avid reader; enjoyed watching mysteries, Jeopardy, and westerns on the television; loved going to the movies, the symphony and musical shows; her greatest joy was traveling with Tom and spending time with her family. She excelled at being a wonderful wife and mother.
Her parents and four siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Tom of 70 plus years; her children Teresa Marie (Terry) Lummerding of Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada, Thomas “Tony” (Debbie) Kuhlman of Thornton, Colorado, and Jacqueline (Bill) Blyth of Windsor, Colorado; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 10:30am at Windsor Evangelical Free Church, 700 Pine Drive, Windsor, Colorado 80550.
