Christopher Ryan Mullison was born February 6, 1990. He graduated from Windsor High School in 2008 where he participated in football, baseball and basketball. He was currently living in Denver and studying at Community College of Denver. Chris passed on December 4, 2019 when he was struck by a car as a pedestrian. He is survived by his parents, Michael Mullison and Sunita Sharma, and two siblings, Shallane Mullison and Brian Mullison, as well as his brother-in-law, Cameron Martin and two nieces Devani Martin and Cambri Martin.

Chris always loved playing and following sports. His main love was playing baseball. He played on a variety of club teams for many years. Mike has many fond memories of attending Rockies games with Chris during his childhood. Chris and Brian shared a common passion for the NBA, rooted for the Denver Nuggets, and anything Lebron. In addition to enjoying sports, Chris was also a supporter of Windsor High School Basketball while in high school, and was quite a spectacle at those games.

Chris had a love for music. Over the years his parents had to endure phases in Rap, EDM, and a smattering of Country. Brian and Chris would also discuss, with great animation, various artists of which Shallane, and his parents, were clueless. Throughout his life, Chris acquired many close friends. Many of those friendships have endured for years. The family thanks all of these friends who stuck with Chris, regardless of circumstance, during his lifetime. There are far too many people to name who helped Chris during his life. People would always gravitate to assist this charismatic young man with an infectious smile. As Sunita says, Chris was a perfect project to adopt. For all of the help, love, and caring, all of you have shown to Chris over the years, the family is very grateful.

As many of you know, Chris had periodic setbacks during his lifetime. Figuring his life out was a long term project for Chris, his family, and friends. Despite each setback, Chris was always able to find a smile and a kind word, for anyone he came across. Chris had a big heart, and a true love of all people. Chris held no grudges, and it was difficult maintain any prolonged anger at him. Chris was a character and carried a bit of flamboyance in his actions and clothes, and was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. As Chris would say about others, he was a hoot. With each setback, there was always promise of a new beginning due to the optimism Chris carried on his sleeve.

More recently, Chris had been working on obtaining his Associates Degree, with an eye toward completing that in May 2020. All of the family was so pleased that Chris had returned to school, and it clearly brought him great satisfaction.

A few years ago, Sunita and Chris went to India for a month to live at an Ashram. Chris thrived in this environment, and returned invigorated by the experience. There were many smiles and laughs as Chris would recount his experiences, and life lessons learned, during his stay in India. It was a memorable experience for both Chris and Sunita.

More recently, Shallane celebrated a birthday, and both of her brothers were able to attend. They talked, laughed and poked fun at one another deep into the night. It was wonderful to watch them all together, they were so close and their love for one another was evident. There was only a small age difference between Shallane and Chris, and they shared many of the same friends. Although quite a bit younger, Brian also became a mainstay of their times together. We were fortunate to spend a perfect Thanksgiving with Chris this year. We are very grateful we had that day together.

In anticipation of the holidays, Sunita asked each of the children what their favorite charity was, so we could make a donation to it for Christmas on behalf of each of them. Chris chose “The Innocence Project” which is an organization that performs DNA testing which has overturned the conviction many wrongly convicted prisoners. If you are able, a donation to in memory of Chris would be appreciated.

As all families, our family was close, and we all loved each other very much. The loss of Chris creates an unimaginable hole in our lives. We are so appreciative of the love and support all of you have provided us in this trying time.

Chris will be deeply missed by many.
